Présentation OMNILIVE@IHP

In 2020, IHP acquired a state-of-the-art system offering automatic video capture of lectures given in our amphitheaters (Hermite and Darboux).
From now on, upon request, an event organizer or a speaker can obtain the system's launch code, and operate his or her own "self-service" recording.

Called "Omnilive", the system —also used by MIT or the TV show Taratata— allows internet viewers following the course remotely to control their viewing angle: blackboard for handwritten equations, speaker, or computer screen for digital presentations.

The recording is automatically broadcast live on www.ihp.fr/live, it is then sent to the teacher via a link by email. This link can be integrated into a web page after the lecturer has filled in the information about the recording (title / description / and keywords).

Steps of a recording with Omnilive@IHP:

1- Send your video capture request to reservation@ihp.fr, you will then receive a confirmation and you will be given the access code to the system commands.

2 - On site, make sure you wear a microphone!

3 - Enter the "recording" controls by typing the code and your email address.

4 - Choose whether or not you want one of the cameras to automatically follow teacher's movements (auto-tracking) / function using machine learning algorithms, still in a test phase.

5 - The recording starts immediately after pressing "recording" button, do not start it too early! Don't forget to stop it at the end of the session.

6 - Check your emails, and identify the email sent by "Omnibox". Click on the form link and fill in the requested information.

7 - Distribute the link to your community. The "embed" link can be copied on a web page. It will display the whole capture with all its viewing angles.
